To investigate the impact of Hermetia illucens larvae (HIL) protein and protease content on growth performance, blood profiles, fecal microflora, and gas production in growing pigs, two experiments were undertaken. The pigs involved in the first experiment, seventy-two crossbred growing pigs (Landrace Yorkshire Duroc breeds), each initially weighing between 2798 and 295 kg, were arbitrarily assigned to one of four dietary treatments. Six replicates of each treatment were used, with three pigs per pen. Employing a 2×2 factorial design, the experiment investigated two diets (Poultry offal diets and HIL diets), investigating the effect of including or excluding protease supplementation. The replacement of poultry offal in the basal diet has been accomplished by HIL. Our research explored how body condition score at parturition affected milk production and the outcome of the transition period for dairy buffaloes. A study involving 36 Nili Ravi buffaloes, commencing at 40 days before expected calving, meticulously recorded their lactation performance over 90 days. The buffalo herd was divided into three categories based on their body condition score (BCS), ranging from 1 to 5 in 0.25 increments: 1) low, BCS 3.0; 2) medium, BCS 3.25 to 3.5; and 3) high, BCS 3.75. The lactation diet was adjusted to provide a higher concentrate allowance in proportion to the milk output.
